The Benedictine Oblates of St. Scholastica monastery hosted Sr. Christine Schenk, CSJ for a presentation of her original research into iconic motifs of female authority found in early Christian art and archaeology. Sharing findings from her book Crispina and Her Sisters: Women and Authority in Early Christianity, she delivered an engaging lecture and interactive PowerPoint presentation. Following the presentation, Sr. Chris took time to meet with guests in the Community Room where she also signed copies of her book. Thanks to Sr. Chris and the Oblates who made this event possible.
