Join Us in Prayer
Prayer is a wonderful way to hear and draw close to God. By listening, we become the people God created us to be and can help our world grow towards peace. Prayer is also a central practice of Benedictine life and we welcome you to join with us in one of the following ways:
Prayer Requests
Let us join you in prayer for a special intention. Send us your prayer by clicking here and we will place your prayer intention anonymously in our chapel prayer book.
If you would like to request a mass to be said in honor of someone or a special occasion, please call our sub-prioress at 773.764.2413 x231. If asked, we can also send a special card in your name acknowledging a Memorial, Congratulatory, Sympathy, or Well-wish.
PLEASE NOTE:
Due to growing concerns regarding Covid-19, we will also be suspending our invitation to join us for mass at St. Scholastica Monastery until further notice.
As always, we continue to keep you and your loved ones in our daily prayers.
Thank you,
Sister Judith Murphy, OSB, Prioress
Benedictine Sisters of Chicago
Daily Prayer
We invite you to join us for weekday evening prayer. During the Sundays of Advent and Lent we hold Sung Vespers. If you are interested in joining us for weekday evening prayer or for Sung Vespers, call Sister Judith Murphy at 773.764.2413 x230.
Sunday Mass
Mass is celebrated most Sundays at the monastery. If you are interested in joining us, call Sister Judith Murphy at 773.764.2413 x230. She will be able to tell you what time Mass is celebrated on a particular Sunday.
Scripture Reflections
We offer daily scripture reflections on our Facebook page here.
We also offer occasional weekly scripture reflections based on special feasts or the Sunday gospels here
