Sisters welcome Scholastican to Communications role

We are pleased to announce that Susan Clark has joined the Benedictine Sisters of Chicago staff as Communications Coordinator. An alumna of the St. Scholastica Academy class of 1998, she has remained connected to the community as an Alumnae Board member, reunion class representative, and donor.

Her primary duty will be maintaining communications between the sisters, oblates, alumnae, donors, and friends through sharing stories of the Sisters' mission and ministries via print and email newsletters, social media, and livestreamed special events.

"Few people understand and appreciate the Benedictine charism better than Susan Clark. It is such a gift that she will be communicating about it on our behalf," said Subprioress Sr. Susan Quaintance, who has known Susan Clark since the latter's high school career.

"I am delighted for this opportunity to work with the Sisters in sustaining and deepening our connection as a Benedictine community," said Susan.

With a media arts degree from DePaul University, Susan has shared her communications and technology skills in service to several nonprofits as an employee, volunteer, and consultant.

Susan resides with her family in Rogers Park and will continue her other work as a consultant, photographer, and journalist. She is most at peace near the water - especially while kayaking or taking photos - and loves to travel and learn through food, art, and architecture.
